Dig Days are our big volunteer trail work events! Every year, beginning in the fall and running into the spring, we host 10 or so volunteer work days to tune up our local trails. MBOSC works in Wilder Ranch, Soquel Demonstration State Forest, DeLaveaga, and Pogonip.
Each Dig Day is sponsored by a local business and hosted by MBOSC. Volunteer work days generally run from 8:45 am– 3:30 pm and include coffee from Verve Coffee Roasters, breakfast treats, lunch from Velocity Bike Parks and post-work refreshments from New Bohemia Brewing and a volunteer raffle. We get a lot of work done but also leave time for socializing and basking in the glow of a job well done.
Volunteer Rewards: This trail work season, when you volunteer two or more days, you’ll be eligible for 5 percent off Ibis Bicycles at Spokesman and Trail Head Cyclery. Save 10 percent when you volunteer four days and 20 percent when you volunteer eight days! You will also be invited to MBOSC’s exclusive volunteer appreciation weekend!
Win an Ibis Bike: Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz and Ibis Bicycles want to show appreciation for all of your hard work. For each day that you volunteer for Dig Days you’ll receive an entry to win an Ibis mountain bike of your choice! We are extremely grateful to Ibis Cycles for donating the bike for our Dig and Win campaign.
